The Dee Hotel

44 Grange Rd, West Kirby, Wirral CH48 4EF, UK – 0151 929 6300

Gr8 value lunch for less than £6 including a soft drink. Parts of the place need some tic for the decor. Friendly staff. Nice courtyard.

Staff very nice, though a little thin on the ground. They need more help they work hard. Food fine typical pub food. No complaints.

The White Lion Inn

51 Grange Rd, West Kirby, Wirral CH48 4EE, UK – 0151 625 9037

Brilliant, brilliant pub, very traditional, fabulous choice of beers, a completely jaw dropping surprise of a garden out back. Minimal food, a deliberate choice of the owners but you can get a decent pork pie or scotch egg for a snack. Don't go to West Kirby and miss visiting, you'll be knocked out I promise. Incidentally, the new owners are due to spend a fair bit on improving the loos which are the only real problem as they are small and quite dated, but don't let that put you off

Now we have some sensible and nice people running the pub, this little wirral gem has been polished and rejuvenated to it's former glory. So glad the old misers of landlords have left... A breath of fresh crisp sea air in the place makes it great again! Ales kept well, decent gin selection and wine is good too (I'm told by the missus). Fab beer garden away from the main road and cars!

The Viking Pub and Bakehouse

Black Horse Hill, Birkenhead, West Kirby CH48 6DS, UK – 0151 601 1888

A must visit- the food was absolutely exceptional and surpassed all expectations! The menu has a great variety to choose from and is updated regularly. The environment is beautifully designed and feels cosy whilst being spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and attentive so didn't have to wait around for service. There is a lovely outdoor beer garden and ample parking too.

Nice looking pub. Inside spacious. And clean. Outdoor garden lovely BUT. plants on tables had an air of neglect Which was a shame Designated plant waterer would be a good idea IF you choose to have table decoration. Meals looked very good. .
