The King's Gap, Hoylake, Wirral CH47 1HE, UK – 0151 632 2073
Breakfast was wonderful and the staff were so friendly. The double bed was nice but would recommend king. Couldn't get the cool setting on the radiator to work so was fairly warm all night and no mirror over the desk meant having to get ready sitting on the floor in front of the full length mirror, but all easily solved I'm sure!
We stayed 1 night in the hotel. The staff are very friendly, the rooms were clean, tidy and good size. Breakfast was included and good variety offered. Will be staying here again on a future holiday.
Montgomery Hill, Royden Park, Frankby, Birkenhead, Wirral CH48 1NP, UK – 0151 625 2400
Didn't stay overnight, but attended a wedding on the grounds. What an amazing building, and in such a gorgeous setting! The experience was lovely, all around, especially thanks to the attentive staff. Lifelong memories to cherish!
Beautiful hotel set in Royden Park. Staff are lovely. Friendly & attentive. Highly recommend. Have been here for afternoon tea. 10 out of 10

High quality apartment hotel. Great location with everthing you need. Superb alternative to booking a hotel
Have stayed at Abbey House Apartment Hotel on numerous occasions since finding it in 2009. We visit from New Zealand and tend to stay for 4- 6 weeks each tlme. We have used both the upper one bedroom Loft Apartment and the 2nd floor two bedroom Apartment. Both are really nicely set up for extended stays (such as ours) with well equipped kitchens / laundry. facilities/bathrooms etc - always immaculately clean. We are very comfortable staying in either location. We love the distant views towards the Welsh coastline acroad the estuary and the local walking options. The station is located handily nearby for travel into Liverpool. Our hosts Pam and Mike McAuley are extremely welcoming and hospitable. Aways helpful with local knowledge etc. about where to visit or best way to get there etc. We always very much look forward to our next vist!!

Thank you for a most fabulous Greek night. First class. What amazing food. Staff could not have done more to make us welcome. Please visit. You won't regret.
No food and limited coffee etc. Small pub with limited parking. Sometimes quiet sometimes used for amateur music and community meetings.
Black Horse Hill, Birkenhead, West Kirby CH48 6DS, UK – 0151 601 1888
A must visit- the food was absolutely exceptional and surpassed all expectations! The menu has a great variety to choose from and is updated regularly. The environment is beautifully designed and feels cosy whilst being spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and attentive so didn't have to wait around for service. There is a lovely outdoor beer garden and ample parking too.
Nice looking pub. Inside spacious. And clean. Outdoor garden lovely BUT. plants on tables had an air of neglect Which was a shame Designated plant waterer would be a good idea IF you choose to have table decoration. Meals looked very good. .
44 Grange Rd, West Kirby, Wirral CH48 4EF, UK – 0151 929 6300
Gr8 value lunch for less than £6 including a soft drink. Parts of the place need some tic for the decor. Friendly staff. Nice courtyard.
Staff very nice, though a little thin on the ground. They need more help they work hard. Food fine typical pub food. No complaints.

Over the past year we have stayed in all the cottages here. We have found them all very comfortable and welcoming. The kids have loved having a swimming pool which when booked you have to yourself and hot tubs in each property are a great bonus. Lovely fishing lake on site to walk around and get to meet the friendly donkey and goat en route. My 5 year old has even caught his first fish here!! Owners are very friendly and helpful and help immediately with any issues you may have. Local pub (2min walk away) is also very good very family and pet friendly with good cheap food. I would most definitely recommend these properties.
Just returned from staying at the Old Mill cottage, had an absolute fantastic weekend. The cottage was to a high standard specification and we enjoyed the ‘homely feel’ too, the hot tub was a great treat and we felt like we were secluded from the rest of the world. Welcome pack of tea and coffee was much needed after we’d travelled from all ends of the Country to meet up and the contact between seller was helpful in advance of the weekend and then again once we arrived to ensure we had everything we needed, nothing was too much trouble. Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a mini break, in an area which has so much to offer or simply of you just want a little RnR! Thank you, we will be visiting again soon.
Three Lanes End Farm, Birkenhead, West Kirby, Wirral CH48 1PT, UK – 0151 625 1401
After a fantastic 4 day break stay at Herons Well Holiday Cottage which was absolutely perfect for our use as pre and post wedding chill out place. A big thank you to Glynis the owner who is very friendly and welcoming. The place was beautiful, tranquil, stunning and very comfortable. It's a brilliant hidden gem at the same time accessible to lots of places to visit if desired. Everything in the cottage is of high standard and immaculately done. I would highly recommend.

Superb! Spent 2 weeks here while studying at the maritime college. Excellent location - only 5 mins to the college. Very nice, clean and tidy self catering apartment. Very comfy bed and off street parking. Warm welcome from the hosts. Highly recommended.
Just spent 10 days here whilst on a course. Couldn’t have asked for more. Owners are very welcoming and caring. Rooms are perfect great size and well presented, clean. Offstreet parking and great location. I felt like I was at home I would recommend Northvilla apartments to anyone without question.
Seaways Cottage, Marine Road, Hoylake, Wirral CH47 2AS, UK – 0151 632 3760
A great welcome in this beautiful 'arts and crafts' converted cottage. Close to the beach. Tony & Debs were wonderful hosts. Hope to return next year.
Well I cannot say anything bad about this very beautiful and very clean B & B, we were informed prior to booking that it could be a twin room or double so cannot complain whatsoever when we had a twin room. The room was immaculate and the wet room was very modern and very clean too.More than enough drinks supplied in the room with a fridge, really comfy bed and the hosts Debs and Tony where very lovely friendly couple... We will 100% book again if we are in the NW... Thank you

The finest b and b I've ever stayed in and there have been many. The standard exceeds that of many hotels. Excellent in every way. We have stayed on the Wirral quite a lot and wouldn't presume to go elsewhere for accomodation, hospitality, very nice food and a welcoming smile.
I've just spent a couple of nights at Pendragon. Booking was straightforward and I received a warm welcome on arrival. All the rooms I saw were tastefully decorated and had a lot of local colour. Evidence of Hoylake as a fantastic golf resort was everywhere. The breakfast was excellent. It included three different ultra-fresh fruit salads, cereals, juices, a cooked breakfast with bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms and baked beans, toast with many different spreads, coffees, teas, and more. The guest house is a family business and the whole family helped in every conceivable way. I would highly recommend Pendragon and would be delighted to stay there again.
Frankby Road, Frankby, Birkenhead, Wirral CH48 1PP, UK – 0151 677 9077
Very friendly place. Booked for afternoon tea and our two dogs were welcomed with us, and given their own welcome and water. The food was excellent quality, fresh and tasty. Drinks were good and topped up as needed. Depending on the weather you can eat outside in the garden, in the conservatory or inside. It is local to us and we will have no hesitation in going again
Had our wedding reception and evening at the Peel Hey. Great time had by everyone. The staff were brilliant. We had a great day and evening. Rooms were very good and clean. Recommend this venue.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

My partner ,myself and dog Hattie have just returned from a lovely weekend in our motorhome, We have not visited the site since last year and have seen a big improvement in the condition of the site overall. The wardens are doing a great job , Keeping it clean and tidy,. Yes, the toilet block needs up dating, the only way is to knock down and start again . We shall still visit as the area is beautiful , and always made to feel welcome. Thank you again ,will see you again soon.
Used to be free to park now it's £2 all day they take credit card. Great for walks or cycling around the area. The beach is about 70 steps down a steep walkway.
